Scott R. Callahan, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Medical Director of the Complex Care Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where he has served since 2018. His clinical work focuses on the preventive and acute outpatient management of children with medical complexity, many of whom are technology dependent. He practices within a patient-centered medical home model that emphasizes care coordination and family-centered goals. Prior to his current role, Dr. Callahan practiced primary care pediatrics in Indiana for 15 years and served as Medical Director of a Level 1 neonatal nursery. He also led a Patient-Centered Medical Home Learning Collaborative supporting pediatric practices in care transformation. His scholarly interests include complex care delivery models, telemedicine, and transitions of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
