Carolina Moore, PhD, MBA

Carolina Moore, PhD, MBA, is an immunologist and researcher at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center who studies the immune consequences of congenital heart disease and cardiac surgery. Her work focuses on early thymectomy, immune recovery after neonatal cardiac surgery, and strategies to preserve or restore thymic function, including autologous thymic reimplantation. Through Project Thymus, she is building a translational research program that connects clinical outcomes, immune biomarkers, and molecular mechanisms to improve care for children with complex congenital heart disease.
