Karli Richards serves as Vice President of Heterotaxy Connection. She learned her son had heterotaxy during pregnancy and remembers the fear, isolation, and lack of clear answers that often comes with a rare diagnosis. Finding the Heterotaxy Connection community became a turning point—support that helped her advocate through surgeries, hospital stays, and the ongoing work of medically complex care. Today, Karli is dedicated to ensuring families feel seen, heard, and equipped with practical resources and real-world wisdom. She brings compassion, persistence, and a strong “we do this together” approach to her leadership, helping expand support so fewer families have to face the unknown alone.
