Monica Bloom is Heterotaxy Connection’s Marketing and Events Director. She received her daughter’s heterotaxy diagnosis with limited information and an overwhelming prognosis. The early days of caregiving taught her how vital community and credible resources can be. Over time, Monica shifted from receiving support to building it—creating opportunities for connection, fundraising, education, and shared storytelling across the heterotaxy community. She brings a rare blend of creativity and logistics, shaped by roles spanning education, musical performance, military family life, and small-business ownership. When she’s not coordinating events or campaigns, Monica loves making children’s clothing, gardening, crafting, and spending time outside with her family.
